Troubleshooting

Fix common setup, routing, shortcode, mobile, GPS, and face verification issues.

The /docs/face-recog URL shows 404

  1. Make sure a WordPress page exists with slug docs.
  2. Make sure the page contains [wpchef_docs].
  3. Go to Settings > Permalinks and click Save Changes, or use WPChef Docs > Settings > Repair Docs Page Shortcode.
  4. Confirm a Doc Section exists with slug face-recog.

The employee clock page asks users to log in

This is expected. WPChef Tracker pages require logged-in users with the right role/capability.

GPS is not captured

  • Use HTTPS.
  • Allow browser/mobile location permission.
  • Enable GPS/location settings in the plugin.
  • For Pro continuous GPS, enable continuous tracking on the employee profile and keep the employee clocked in.

Face verification fails

  • Confirm Face Verification is enabled.
  • Confirm the employee is enrolled.
  • Ask the employee to blink/pass liveness if required.
  • Clock in/out within five minutes after verification.
  • Confirm the employee is not disabled and mobile access is not disabled.
