Employees and managers
The Free plugin creates employees and managers as WordPress users. When a new employee is created, the plugin can send a password setup email so the employee can log in and use the clock page.
Departments
Departments let admins group employees for easier organization and reporting. Create departments before adding employees so each employee can be assigned correctly.
Shift templates
Shift templates define the standard work schedule. In the Free plugin, shift templates include separate grace minutes for Clock In and Clock Out. These values help the system compare attendance events against expected times.
Recommended setup flow
- Create departments first.
- Create shift templates second.
- Create employees and managers third.
- Assign department and shift information during user setup.
