Face Recognition and Selfie Snapshots
Set up mobile face enrollment, clock verification, blink/liveness checks, and clock-in/out snapshots.
What Face Recognition does
WPChef Tracker Pro includes mobile face enrollment and verification support. Employees enroll a face profile in the mobile app, then the app verifies the employee before required clock actions.
Available face settings
- Enable Face Verification globally.
- Require blink/liveness.
- Require face verification for Clock In.
- Require face verification for Clock Out.
- Allow employee self-enrollment from the mobile app.
- Use employee-level mandatory face recognition.
- Capture selfie snapshot on Clock In.
- Capture selfie snapshot on Clock Out.
Important behavior
Break In/Out face verification has been removed in the current Pro build. Face verification applies to Clock In and Clock Out based on your settings. Verification IDs expire after five minutes, so employees should clock in/out shortly after verification.
Where snapshots appear
Payroll and attendance tables can show compact selfie previews for Clock In and Clock Out when face verification was used and snapshots were captured. Employee profiles can also show the saved face enrollment snapshot.
Employee setup flow
- Enable Face Verification in the Pro Face Verification screen.
- Allow self-enrollment or instruct admins to manage enrollment policy.
- Enable face mandatory globally or per employee.
- Employee opens the mobile app and enrolls their face profile.
- Employee verifies face before required clock actions.
